Khammam tribal couple forced to carry daughter’s body on bicycle 68km – The New Indian Express

KHAMMAM: In a horrific incident, a tribal couple have been forced to transport the body of their three-12 months-outdated daughter by bike for 68 kilometres.

The tribal couple’s daughter had died of fever and seizures on the Khammam headquarters hospital.

The impoverished couple had no cash to rent an ambulance and have been forced to transfer their daughter’s body by bike to their residence village Kothamedepalli in Enkoor Mandal, 68 kilometers from Khammam.

According to stories, Sukki, three-12 months-outdated daughter of Vetti Malla and Adi was affected by fever and convulsions. They transferred her to a main well being middle in Enkoor.

Later, on the suggestion of the medical doctors, they transferred her to Khammam headquarters on Monday morning.

The child died whereas present process remedy.

The father of the kid claimed that “hospital staff showed no mercy and did not provide an ambulance to move the body”.

Later, he went to his village with Rs 100 and requested the villagers to assist him.

A youth from the village supplied a motorcycle with which the household took the body again to their village.

Residents have expressed anger in the direction of hospital employees and the federal government for his or her “inhumane act”.
