Norwich Police make arrest for bike theft – Corrie Road

Police have arrested a person in reference to the theft of a pupil’s bicycle in August.

Jamie Morrison, 21, captured the second a person wandered into his backyard and stole his bike on CCTV – whereas consuming what gave the impression to be a pastry.

A police spokeswoman mentioned: “A forty five-12 months-previous man was charged with theft in Norwich on Monday August 1, 2022.

“The incident happened in Corie Road, Norwich, when a man had his bike stolen from his property at around 5pm.

“A man was arrested in connection with the robbery on Tuesday September 27, 2022 and has been taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Center for questioning.

“Alexis Peter, of Fairfax Road, Norwich has been charged with theft.

“He has been released on bail ahead of his next appearance at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Monday October 17, 2022.

“The bike has been recovered.”

Mr Morrison, a medical pupil on the University of East Anglia (UEA), mentioned: “I am really delighted the bike has been found.

“It’s nonetheless with the police so I am unable to get it but till he is launched from the proof.”
